Answer:

As for looks, The German Shepherd is at his or her epitome at 2 to 3 years old- That's when they look there best. At that age the shepherds chest will drop and if the dogs ears are up, that's when they look the best. Shepherds are in full bloom at that age. Feeding your German shepherd go's by weight of the dog, puppies require 3 feedings a day about a cup each feeding. As they get older you can cut back to 2 times 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups each feeding-depending on how big your scoop is. You don't want to over feed, Make sure the dog has plenty of clean water all the time. Buy good dog food- Royal Cain is good food so is Wellness. I wouldn't advise washing your German shepherd to much unless he's just a stinking mess. Shepherds have sensitive skin, You could possibly dry his skin out by washing to much. Next step and important- German shepherds require a lot of socialization. Take him for walks and get him around other people and other dogs- You don't want a dog that's unsociable. Last step- Give your dog a lot of praise, When he does good praise the heck out of him. German shepherds are a working dog / Herding there most happiest when they have something to do- Like a job I almost forgot- neutering him- That's totally up to you, You won't hurt him a bit or change the way he acts by doing so. Some people say it knocks the fire out of them- It doesn't. Good luck with your new dog
Ah! Okay, sothe fact that he told you about his past tells me that he trusts you. His intentions are genuine. He really wants to do something right this time. But don't completely overlook his white lies. If he does hate smoking, and then smoked during your first date, then it /was/ a bad case of nerves and his moment of weakness. Just observe him from this first date onwards. If he really does try to make a true effort to get over the speed bumps he has, then you can make the relationship work. I can tell he's a good guy :) And I hope everything works out great for you! You deserve it.
LOL Come on over and join. You don't have to actually show, breed, or sell dogs. It's a friendly group of GSD owners who would be glad to help you with your new addition. No one flames anyone for choice of lines so you won't have that issue either. A couple things I will comment on are neutering and training. Start looking for his obedience class now. GSD are not ones you want to wait to train. By 6 months, they've learned a dozen bad habits and have taken over the house. Training for them should start immediately. Make it fun of course but early starts will help the pup see that he's not in charge. If you don't know about breeding, please fix your dog. It's a lot more work than you think, even just owning a stud dog. There is the very real chance he could be hurt while mating or because he smelled a girl a mile up the road and decided to escape to find her. It's more hassle than I think you'd really want. Your breeder may actually require you alter him. Oh, bathe when needed. My shepherds get baths ever 2-4 months or when there's a show. For feeding, go by your dog's appearance. If he's skinny, give him more. If he's fat, feed him less. Don't stress over exact amounts. Give him a good quality food (Taste of the Wild, Orijen, Innova, Wellness CORE, etc). Start him with three meals a day until 8 months then take him to two a day. At 12 months you can decide if you want one big meal or two small ones. I personally give one meal but my dogs only get 2-3 cups a day so small meals would just annoy them. They actually prefer it all at once.
the first pic is good so is the are the puppys but the last image looks like you pulled it of google images, yes you should neuter him it will increase his life span and he will have less agression issues
