Question:

1995 for f150 engine light help?

I just recently got a 1995 ford F150xlt truck and I just changed the spark plugs and I am now getting a check engine light this truck hasn‘t been serviced in years and I am trying to get it into working order. So what I do know is. is that there were some very brittle thin tubes that look like wires but are hollow and those broke while I was changing the spark plugs so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

Answer:

most likley these are vacum tubes wihich would cause your prolbem is it a 5.4 triton w/coil overs?if so go back nad recheck coils!but first take it to your local autozone have it scanned for free!! find out what dtcs it has(diagonistic trouble codes)and go from there!!
Good Idea Blown out of Proportion! It was first proposed so that some people could see big trucks and motorcycles better but some one, we won't say who, got hold of it and now it's on ALL cars and trucks. Yeah I don't really understand the logic in it, now with every one running with Day-Time-running-Lights shouldn't trucks and motorcycles run during the day light hours with their headlights off? Think about it!
volvos, saabs.and many other car manufacturers have been doing thjs for years.in my opinion its a good idea a safety feature.
Buy a Dodge Omni or a Plymouth Horizon. Then get a bag of Beef jerky and a pint of fine English ale. Consume it all and look at the big picture in the morning after a good nights sleep. The answer will reveal itself so long as you possess the Staff of Ra.
ah, you broke a vacum line and now your check engine light is being triggered from a leak in the vacuum system. you pretty much have to replace those tubes. auto zone and other stores sell the tubing, but you need a hanes or chilton manual to figure out how to route the vacuum lines good luck on that
