Question:

1999 honda prelude cold air intake?

Hey i just recently bought a 99 homda prelude and it came with a aem cold air intake and aem filter. In the trunk there was a the same filter but spectre. Anyone know which is better which i shoudl use and why? What difference does it make

Answer:

Depends on year/make/model. The others are right on some cars but not all.
Put the part into the best body.
Transmission is easier and cheaper
The stock intake produces more torque at low RPM. Throw all that junk in the dustbin! Really!
because all of that crap has been proven worthless. Your not going to get 50 extra horse power out of anything. Put the car back to stock and leave it. if it runs ok now do not mess with it and you better hope it passes emissions in your state. best of luck. Ask your mechanic what he thinks. a air filter that lets you hear the air getting sucked in to the intake does not equal more power.
