Question:

2000 Nissan Altima alarm, auto-lock trouble?

I have a 2000 Nissan Altima GLE with these problems: - When I activate my alarm with my remote (hold Lock for 2 secs), I can hear the alarm, but none of the lights flash. - When I use the key in the driver-side door, all four doors don‘t automatically lock/unlock. Only the driver-side door will unlock (because I‘m turning the key in that door). - Should the alarm go off after automatically locking all doors, waiting, and manually unlocking and opening a door? This does not happen.Where can I find the alarm circuit/fuse, and how can I fix the auto key lock?

Answer:

Push and hold lock and unlock buttons on your remote three flasher blinks you should now have lights and no honk. Reset back the same way. Next manually turning the key once drivers side only unlocks lock. turn to unlock turn again passengers side unlocks or locks trun and hold the key either to lock or unlock 2 seconds that arms/disarms the alarm system watch the dash security light it turns on and 45 seconds latter it flashes slowly. Rapid flash means the car alarm has gone off and you will need to disarm to start the car with key or remote.
