Question:

2002 7.3 F250 Cold Air Intake?

I already have a bullydog Triple dog tuner (have had it for 2 years s great as far as making the truck get up and go and have had no issues) and am looking to install a cold air intake. What brand would you suggest I install? I‘ve also heard that instead of installing a cold air intake, just upgrade the air box at your local ford. Which is better? I‘ve also hear that I should finish it off with a larger down tube/exhaust for lower EGTs and performance. What is a down tube/exhaust? Thanks for any advice!

Answer:

copper, inside is hollow. John is correct ^^
copper which is why over time it has turned green due to the elements.
i'd pass with okN or Steeda, i exploit okN and have no courtroom cases. Steeda is a great organisation and make high quality products. those filters are extra efficient at high quality/quantity of air so they do paintings. I certainly have positioned approximately one hundred fifty,000 miles on my vehicle and purely one filter out, works for me!
7.3l cold air intake- If it is a typical towing machine with a mild hot rodding or a stock engine, then best is the Ford Air Induction system (AIS) sets you back just over $200. If you want it for performance and large amounts of power and torque, get an AFE stage II Cold air intake with a Pro Guard7 filter (some of the highest reviews on this product). This setup will set you back around $500. 7.3l Down tube exhaust- a down tube exhaust is just a term used for a turbo back system (exhaust pipe running from your turbo back), pretty self explanatory. Getting systems like this will lower your EGT so your engine can perform better, and get better fuel mileage. Your engine will thank you for it. If you like the sound from the stock exhaust system I would recommend not getting an aftermarket exhaust; If you don't care, well. here's the two best '02 7.3l performance exhaust systems. MBRP and magnaflow 5 stainless steel turbo back exhaust. Sets you back $500-$600, adds around 20hp and 25-60ft.lbs or torque. Hope i helped ) -Kyle
