Question:

2002 Ford Taurus Complete failure of brake system?

Complete brake system failure due to malfunction in abs. Pulled fuse to abs system and brakes return to normal without abs option as light is now lit. Anyone else had this problem as ford dealers say they have never heard of this happening.

Answer:

i think you should take tht to a heating blanket specialist
Good luck, you might try contacting the manufacturer, but I doubt that you can get a replacement cord,
i own a repair shop, and yes its a problem with them, i had to pull the fuse on one of my customers cars just so he had brakes on it,ford is supposed to repair it,but its been a month and they keep saying they cant work it in to get it done yet, i know what the problem is,but its under warranty and i don't want to touch it until i get an OK from them, its the abs pump on it that's causing it to do this,,it freezes up on it,,but they wont listen ,or don't care ,,either way its causing some problems for a few people now,,if the car wasn't so new id take the abs system off of it,and just have normal brakes, on it,but its up to ford to repair it for now, good luck maybe they,ll fix yours,,i hope this help,s.
