Question:

6 alarms.. Still not waking up?

School started recently and I know that I'm a very diffuclt person to wake up, that's why I have 6 alarms. The first two days I woke up just fine but the third day and today, I slept in. My mother even tried waking me up before she went to work but I don't recall that at all and I didnt hear a single alarm but I know they went off. Idk it all seems a bit weird to me, like I know that I'm hard to wake up, but usually not that difficult. And you would think I would hear at least one of the alarms right?? What's up?

Answer:

Is your smoke detector also electric? new houses have a detector that is both electric and battery operated so that if the electric goes out the batteries kick in automatially. Mine is that way too through out the house find the master detector ( mine is in the master bed room) and push and hold the test button This should set all the detectors through the house off. every so often it will trip so it makes you do the test. Also I have noticed with mine that if the tempature drops below a certain point that is automatically set in the detector it will chirp. example if my temp drops below 55 it will chirp. its a warning device that is set to wake you up if the heat goes out. it took my husband and I awhile to learn this too
If you have changed all of the batterieshave you checked it to see if it doubles as a carbon minoxide detector as well?? If it isn't, get a hold of your local fire department and see if they can help you figure it out. Best of luck
Check with your local fire department. If they are like ours, they will GIVE you smoke detectors. I think yours are either defective, or at least trying to give you a warning something isn't right with them. Get rid of themit isn't worth it.
I think it's the colouring. When you throw a magazine on the fire, the same thing happens, because of the ink.
Try buying a new smoke detector. Replace the one in your master bedroom and see if the chirping stops in that room. If so, buy all new ones and replace all of them. If not, then there's something that the detectors are reacting to. Call and environmental hygienist.
