Question:

89 Dodge Ramcharger Valve Cover?

I got a 318 V8.. I cant seem to locate the valve cover to replace... but I did notice that some of the replacement gaskets/filters are from the 91-93 dodge ramcharger.. Is it possible for an newer model to fit exactly on my 1989? are all dodge 318 the same size?

Answer:

The covers will fit from mid sixties all the way thru 91. They are 5 bolt covers and are all over the place. 273, 318, 340, 360 cid.
You obviously just suck at anything to do with cars and should go neck your self asap
Virtually speaking yes, the engine size or displacement is the same on all 318 engines. You can obtain a newer valve cover which will fit your 89.
The 318 valve covers are the same from 1968 to 1991, starting in 1992 valve covers were changed to fit the new Magnum heads. The Magnum heads (and engine) have changes that increase engine efficiency and horsepower. The engine design is still the same, a 90 degree V-8, but is now more efficient, however in 2004 or maybe '03 the 318 or 5.2 was discontinued and replaced by the 4.7 which I know nothing about.
