You should try to find some of the kitchen re-dos they've done on HGTV's, Design to Sell. They sanded the cabinets and used paint. There were a few they did that were in light colors that really made the cabinets stunning. When they popped the lids on some of the colors, some of her own people questioned her choicesuntil they saw it done. Absolutely fantastic. More and more people are using paint instead of stain. It seems to be the latest rage in kitchen cabinets. It's washable and a more durable treatment for wood cabinets in a kitchen. I have light oak cabinets that are only 5 years old..and I hate them now that I've seen her paint them with such fantastic colors. But, yes, if you sand to bare wood, you woud be able to then stain light.
it will have a cream effect on it.
The fourth dimension *is* time. It's a dimension of existence, not merely of space. The theory of relativity says that time slows down the closer one approaches the speed of light. So that means that if you travel near the speed of light for a minute, several years might pass for people standing still.
Sorry but you will have to paint it to go lighter. But you can use faux painting to get the desired look. Any good paint store like Sherwin Williams should have instructions for this. It is done with paint and glaze and a rubber hand roller that will paint a simulated wood grain pattern. The process is too detailed for a complete set of directions here but you can get all the info at the paint store. Good luck!
