I want to know if they make such a thing. I'm thinking of a vacuum cleaner but besides vacuuming, it sweeps floors and it mops as well. Do they make this? If so can anyone tell me where they sell it and what it's called? Links would be extra, extra helpful!

Based on personal experience, avoid multi function floor cleaners. They are too heavy and do not perform any function well. For basic mopping, I love the scooba (the robot). Carpet, especially where pet hairs are a concern, the bagless Hoover Windtunnel. Hard surface floors, a canister and/or the irobot.
In UK you can buy vacuum cleaners that vac and shampoo carpets. Two links that might help and I believe there are other manufacturers out there too that do them.
