The carpet in my living room is looking worn out due to heavy traffic. If I get it professionally cleaned, will it help make the carpet look newer?
Depends a lot on just how old the carpet is now and the over all quality of the carpet is. If its less than 10 years old and of some quality, a professional will use the proper water temp needed to help rejuvenate the fibers. The fibers are generally heat set and will matt and lay down over time.Professional cleaners use a water temp made to reset the fibers into an up right position. it could. Sometimes its just dirt that gets trapped in it that makes it run down. Try a steam cleaner. They work great good luck :)
