Can someone tell me how many pallets Kat made for Sephora? I know about Beethoven and True Romance, but others are...?
I'm not into following posted links..........but am into gardening on the cheap. Fumigation will kill any living bugs, heat treatment will kill microbes. Soil contains microbes.......so why would you want to go to the trouble and expense of heat treating cheap pallet timber? The only things you need to be concerned about are importing cockroaches and whiteants - both obvious to the naked eye! I have the best part of a couple of acres, but the soil is poor My fresh and very healthy veggies (including a huge herb garden) are mostly grown in raised garden beds (to acomodate my broken spine and flogged out knees) made from old pallets which I got for free or next to free from the local tip, as well as 44 gallon drums, also from the dump, which I cut in half length-ways, drilled a few drainage holes in the bottom and made some 'X' shaped frames to sit them on - also using timber from the dump. The mulch/soil in which my food has been growing for these past several years has also come fromt the dump - the mulched down green waste! I COULD pay $6.oo for a 10kg bag at the nursery for this, but I choose instead, to pay $10.oo per ton at the dump! Like I said, don't tend to follow links. Sounds like the usual.......someone just wants lots of people to click on their link so they can make money out of it - and the information they are passing on is probably a conglomerate of bits and pieces they have put together from other web sites, when they have, in fact, no actual practical experience themselves!!!!! Do you think your grandparents, great grandparents and so forth backwards throughout history worried about heat treatments and fumigations etc.?? They trusted nature. As should we. Some of us always have, some are beginning to again. Thankfully.
