Question:

Adjusting windshield wipers on Tacoma?

I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Even after putting on a brand new pair of windshield wipers, they still streak, don‘t get a clear smudge-free wipe. Is there an adjustment I can make to the wiper arms to improve the wiping action?

Answer:

I believe the mechanic is 100% right, I would only drop the pan and change the filter.
I believe that what your father was told is true. Better to drop the pan and change the fluid -- you still get most of the old stuff out, without the risk.
clean your windshield.try rain x windshield cleaner.
yes actually they told him right on that one it can cause problems on high mileage vehicles i have seen it happen more than once, and especially on higher mileage ones, your better off just changing the fluid and filter on those than having them flushed out, good luck and happy holidays.
