Question:

Air Intake - 89 Nissan Sentra?

Anyone know where I can get an air intake for a 89 Sentra without costing too much? Also will I have to do anything special to the intake or can I just attach it?

Answer:

well, if you know a thing or two about cars its pretty easy to install it, you just take your stock intake off and attach the other one, it should come with like 2 tightening rings i forget what theyre called, one is a big tha attaches to ur engine and the other small one attaches to the air filter, check on OKorder they sell tons of intakes for practically any car
make sure it not carbed or you have to make a adapter to the tube(air intake) most 87- 89 are carbed. not efi 90-02 are efi for the sentra. if the end dose not look like the picture below it a carb
You mean a CAI? okay having an air intake alone will do jack all You need to install a Pod and CAI setup in one or else you will just be sucking hot air. Install your Pod where your existing air box is, then run a 3 - 4 flex pipe from your front bar to your engine and have the outlet blowing straight into your Pod. The reason im telling you to install a Pod as well is that just installing a CAI will do absaloutly nothing to your cars performance. You need to combine the CAI with a Pod.
