Question:

Air Leaking Sound from my brakes?

Just recently there has been a sound of air leaking when I press down on my brakes. The brakes seem to work fine but I‘ve never heard this sound before. What is this and do I need to get something replaced?

Answer:

breaks allways make a swoosh noise when you press down on them, its the action on the fluid rushing from your foot through the lines, its ok , nothing is wrong with it.
maximum probable booster diaphragm undesirable, do not know what you're utilising yet some older autos had vacuum change above brake pedal for cruise administration so in case you have verify that first.
This is just the sounds of the pedal depressing. This is no air in the brake system. They are 100% hydraulic since liquid doesn't compress. If there had been air you would not be getting a response when you pressed the brake pedal. If there really was air in the system that would mean you have a leak and every time you press the brake (and most likely even when just sitting) brake fluid would be leaking. This is a common and expected sound. It is the brake pedal, hoses etc all doing their job.
