Question:

worcester central heating boiler keeps going off.got to keep pressing restart?

am i doing any damage pressing restart. guarantee just run out. any information would be greatly welcomed. just had it flushed, but no luck.

Answer:

Impossible to say. Get British Gas to do a one off repair they will give a fixed quote over the phone. Then think seriously about having a maintenance contract with them. They actually install Worcester Bosch boilers, so know them backwards. Also, apart from the gas safety aspect, you will be glad of the cover when it fails in mid winter!
Probably not causing any damage. You did not state the manner of firing, oil, or gas, but usually the culprit is a faulty thermocouple. A faulty thermocouple will interrupt the flow of combustible used to fire the boiler.
Get Worcester out, they have a fixed price guaranteed mend , I think it is more like ?200 though.
Worcester Central Heating Boiler
you haven't specified if this was a gas fired boiler, electric, or oil fired. You didn't say if it was natural gas or LP gas.....you have to include this information You could be doing damage well i am sure that button you are pushing is a thermal overload of some sort to shut off the boiler when it get's too hot. Obviously some sort of thermostat or electronic temperature control is telling you that the boiler is not firing correctly or is remaining in full fire for too long. It could be a combustion control or a flame sensor that is dirty. It could be a matter of too much or not enough flame. it could be that the gas pressure is too high. It could be that it is not getting enough or too much combustion air. A pressure control or aquastat might be defective. You might have build up in your boiler from hard water. You might have a circulation pump that is not working properly. You may have a zone valve that is not opening and/or returning fluid or steam properly. Maybe the make up water line is not filling the boiler properly or in time....boilers often go out on low water controls, but since we don't know the details about your boiler I cannot answer specifically. Worcester boiler is not enough information. Chances are that this is not a major problem....my first recommendation is always to clean..clean...clean......turn off the boiler and take off the covers....clean all of the dirt, dust, and debris that you can find....suck it all out with a vacuum hose you would be surprised the amount of problems that dirt can cause and how much cleaning dirt can solve
