Question:

Am I losing distance with my irons?

Currently I‘m playing Titleist DCI 962 Irons which are around 10 years old and have been heavily used. I know blade iron technology hasn‘t advanced much but would I lose any distance using these iron compared to a new set of very similar irons?

Answer:

Blade iron technology hasn't advanced much in 10 years? Not so. New materials, better milling techniques, better castings, better forgings all have enhanced blade iron technology. Add to that much improved shafts, especially a shaft made using nanotechnology, and I think you'll see a dramatic difference. Attend a manufacturers demo day at a club in your area and test the new clubs.
I'm tired of my day. I'm tired of Mondays. I'm tired of winter and it's not even here yet. I'm tired of people who always think they're more tired than me. Lol.
the shafts could be worn out a good bit and also the grooves on the short irons must be gone by now but if you hit em straight and solid it doesnt matter
I can see your logic, but I don't think you'll lose that much distance; probably five yards max. If anything, I think it'll be better to keep your current set than re-adjust to new irons.
Sounds like a case for caller i.d. to me! Don't answer the phone. Don't open the door. Use the deadbolt. Good luck! I'm tired of hurting all over, myself.
