What your are describing here is called FLEX ductSo that means that there is an outer wrap that is insulated (gray) , then inside that is a smaller pipe that connects to your supply ventsWhich may be clear, black or what ever color The cheapest place for a DIY is menards to get flex ductMake sure you get the dame size as what is up there so you keep the system balancedAll you need is the flex duct tip tiesYou want to secure the inner part of the flex to your supply connection, then make sure when you slip over the insulate part it flush with the supply vent and no metal is showingThen take a zip tie and put that around the outer part of the pipeSo your securing the inner pipe wiht zip tie, and then the outer with zip tieMake sure the inner is a tight as possible when you zip tie itThe outer just needs to be snugThe reason for having the outer part flush with the supply connection is to avoid any condensation problemsYou also want to make sure that the supply runs are a straight as possible and or there is no hard turns in it Personally, if I were you I would do it myself, it not rocket science as you can see, it basically a labor issue, the flex is cheapDO NOT USE TAPE to secure the flex duct !!!!!
