Question:

Any suggestions please, on new color for my kitchen.?

I wan‘t to decorate my kitchen Tuscan syle, but I don‘t know what color to paint it, right know is like a medium blue, (not to dark, and not to light). My kitchen has white cabinets and white appliances, I want to keep them white. My kitchen is also kind of narrow and long. I want to put a sheet of copper for backsplash, I think it would look nice. If you know of any web-sites, please let me know. Thanks

Answer:

Keep the blue, add the copper - include a copper light fixure and a deep rich burnt ornage red accent - either a strip on the wall, or the counter tops, or a kenmore mixer.

I like to use neutrals for the basic color (beige, black white, grey tones) and then add a zingy accent color for accessories like utensils, rugs, pot holders, mugs, etc. These things are quick and easy to change whenever you want to update the look. Basic neutrals also stand the test of time and don't become outdated trends too quickly. Bright poppy red or cool electric blue would make great accent colors.
If you are going with Tuscan style, I would think you would want warm colors like golds, oranges, yellows, even reds. I have one red wall in my kitchen and the others are a different color. If your kitchen isn't huge, you can use one dark wall and 3 contrasting lighter walls. I am painting my cabinets one color and then the wall underneath another color and then larger walls a 3rd contrasting color. Go online and type in kitchen remodeling and you will get tons of sights with pictures and suggestions. Good luck!
