Question:

Are all tanning beds supposed to close all the way?

Hello. I've just recently started tanning for health reasons. The bed I use is a lay-down one and very basic with the time control on the outside of the bed. When I try to close it all the way, it makes a clicking sound and simply will not completely close as hard as I pull. There is a circular fan in the room so that it will cool you off in the bed, which leads me to believe it's not meant to close all of the way, but I'm not sure. Anyone know? Thanks

Answer:

Some beds close completely. Some beds have a very small gap when the canopy is closed. It doesn't matter the age of the bed. Some of the newer beds do not close completely.
No bed dont close completley.
I have to disagree with the other person who answered your question. I have worked a tanning place for 6 years and have tanned in tanning beds for 8. Yes, tanning beds can close all the way, but not all of them do. Older model beds, which by the description you gave i'm assuming its an older model don't usually go all the way down because either they never did or because the have been used for an excessive amount of time and are looser then the newer models. I hope I answered your question!
