Question:

Are all types of plastic recyclable?

I read somewhere that only plastics with the recycle logos can be recycled, but then I read that all plastic is recyclable, so I'm confused. For instance, would straws, cd cases, tapes, or makeup containers be considered recyclable?

Answer:

extremely tough subject. research from yahoo or google. that will can help!
It depends on what your local recycling dump will take, if you live in a bigger city it'll probably be easier to find a place. However, in my small town it only allows general things, like water bottles or plastsic pop bottles.
5. PP (Polypropylene). Another plastic commonly used in the automobile and construction industries, plastics marked with a 5 that are also recyclable include some car battery casings, oil funnels, and plastic drinking straws.
All plastic is recyclable. However finding a place to recycle all plastic is difficult because of the need for high volumes and because of the lack of facilities. I manage many sites where we recycle or divert over 80% of waste from landfill and our most difficult waste stream to recycle is plastic. Because of the reasons I listed.
