Question:

are most cars back wheel drive?

i know Audi R8 is backwheel drive, and its a good drifter. why does back wheel drive cars drift better?

Answer:

Because it is light in the rear and the don't handle well in snow.
Rear wheel drive. You CAN'T drift with front wheel drive. All you do is skid. And that's just stupid.
The Audi R8 is all-wheel drive. All four wheels receive power from the engine. Most consumer cars are front-wheel drive. Generally, rear-wheel drive cars are sports cars. They drift better because in a corner, as the power is at the back, the tail of the car is pushed outward. In a front-wheel drive car, the power is at the front, and the car is simply pulled along.
