Question:

Are Spyder cold air intakes good?

I am thinking of buying a spyder cold air intake for my 95 eclipse gs and i wanted to know if the spyder intakes were a good brand?

Answer:

Guess I'll keep this short an simple haha. Name brand intakes as well as generic all have just around the same effect, only difference is your paying more for name brand and the piping may have a gloss that's really it. No neither one will give you more power than the other. When you start adding to the intake, such as exhaust, cams, etc then you will notice a difference but name brand is just what it is pay $200 for the name or you can have a generic that does exactly the same for $50.
