The NFL doesn't want you changing helmets, and teams who's throwbacks color schemes don't match the current helmets are having problems, because they can't bring out the old helmets to use. Why not read an article, instead of just a headline? It has nothing to do with the logo.
ANY WIRELESS system can be hacked, with the exception of a laser based one. In that case you have to have access (via a mirror for example) to the line of site beam to even know it is there. However, since you are not protecting a bank vault, it may be considered. The mix is more common. Wired at some points and IR or RADAR at others. And, yes, totally wired systems are prone to RF interference that can false them. And there currently is no fool proof wireless system to an off site monitor, that still takes the twisted pair to the police, fire, alarm co., etc.
