Question:

Are there really any 'GREEN' jobs?

we have to mine minerals to build the foundations for wind turbines.- we use petroleum to make the plastics involved in making the blades, great big trucks move all the componentswe mine copper in big open pits to get copper ore for the windingssmelters to make into a metal.cranes to erect themoil to power the cranes.bull dozers to make the roads to themMining to get minerals for the aluminumAll the millions of pounds of wiring to connect it all togetherwhere in the world do you GREENIES think all this stuff comes fromand just wind! Same thing with solar, bio diesel, where do you think all this stuff should come from? The very computer you are looking at comes from the filthy dirty mining and oil industries you despise. There is no such thing as a green jobIt is all produced by the very industries you dispise.what is your Response?

Answer:

Definition of what would constitute a 'Green Job' would be requiredI think that the closest we come is as hunter-gatherers, but some people would condemn hunting as not very greenNomadic herds people can leave behind a lot of damage, even turn dry land to desertMaking things to generate energy is likely to consume more energy and other resources than they return unless we do a lot of planning to accomplish a lot of efficiencyThis is by no means a slam dunkPutting solar panels in New Mexico may be very green, while putting them in the middle of the great lakes basin may not be very greenBut because we get a very high price for solar energy here in Ontario, we will go ahead and deploy solar whereas it would only really be green to put those panels in a small area of the US south westWind turbines are often going to use so much energy building them that they could never give it all backBut many well chosen sites definitely will.
I've had depression but I'm not sure if it runs in a family Someone broke up with me, I started eating alot (eating alot or not at all is a symptom) I started having weird sleeping schedules (which can be over sleeping or not sleeping at all) I started cutting myself (which some depressed people do, and some do not) This mainly happened at night ( like you) And either I talked to everyone, or talked to no one at all So you seem to have depression, sorry! Oh and I was very annoyed by anyone who tried to talk to me that I didn't speak to first.
