Question:

Are tinfoil and styrofoam recyclable?

I rarely use styrofoam but on the rare occasion that I use it I find myself wondering what to do with itIt has the recycle triangle thingy on it but alot of people have told me it isn't recyclableAlso, how do I sort it? Paper or plastic? thanx.

Answer:

Hey G2, Your Carrera Vulcan uses the standard 1 1/8 inch steerer tubed forkYes, most forks will fit your frame just as long as the steerer tube is a 1 1/8The 2008 Marzocchi MX Pro with Lockout that you posted will fit your frameThis is a hardtail, so I would not go over 120mm of travelYou could mount a Marzocchi Triple 8, but that would be another problem in itself ) Oh ya, your headtube is NOT adjustableGood luck! Twenty years ago, it was hard to find a fork to fit a frameBut today, the forks are threadlessYou can get any fork that is long enough, OR LONGER, and if it's a little long, you can get aluminium spacers to fill the gap, and keep the bearings tightLike I said, twenty years ago, you would have had to cut the steerer tube down with a hacksaw, and then re-thread, with a dieIt's much easier nowadays.
You have a normal mountain bike that uses a one and one eight head tube forkI dont know what tube your talking about that can be adjusted, but if it is the head tube on your bike frame it is not adjustableYo Mama
You had several WM bikes and you don't have one nowYet you think there wasn't anything wrong with themHow can that be? If they were any good, they should still be around, no? They hit the dumpster even when you are easy on themThis sounds very strange as I have a mountain bike since 1989 with more than 10,000 miles on it that I still ride daily to workAnd when it was new and I was younger, I did some rough riding tooIt wasn't expensive, just about $350 or so back thenNo suspension or silly gimmicks, a solid bike.
The few times I get styrofoam (usually comes packaged with electronic equipment), I save it and reuse for packaging when it's time to mail those Christmas gifts :) Most recycling centers won't take styrofoam because it costs more to recycle it, than to make it newI did find one site which has links to places that accept styrofoam for recycling To answer your other question, are you talking about tin foil or aluminum foil? Aluminum foil can be washed and used again OR recycled with your aluminum cans.
