Question:

At what age should a kid be upgraded to a full bed from a twin bed?

Estimation Please???Plus age for upgrade to a Queen bed???

Answer:

i got a full sized bed in 6th grade. i think the perfect age would be between 10-13. but if the child is big for she/he's age then maybe sooner. i was really happy i got a full size bed because i was growing, and when i had my friends sleep over then nobody would need to sleep on the floor. i dont think there is an age for a queen size, a full size is large enough for a single person even when their 30. although i have a queen size bed now lol. but its because my dad got a new bed, and gave me his old one.
That is entirely dependent on the child. As a rule, children don't need the upgrade unless their sleep habits make it necessary. My 20 month old niece had to go from a crib to a twin bed because she moved around so much she kept hitting the bars. If they toss and turn so much that they fall of the bed or otherwise endanger themselves, then they definitely need the upgrade. Otherwise, it's not necessary unless you just want your child to have a larger bed.
I don't think there is an age limit on any of the beds. Children aren't automatically upgraded to a bigger bed unless there are growth issues, like a son who is suddenly 7' and weighs 300 pounds. Most of the kids I know who have full or queen sized beds have bought them themselves with their own money. A mattress on the floor is still the favored mode of bed for many kids.
I would say maybe 12 or 13. I got my bed a little younger but that was because we moved houses and my parents just decided to get me a new bed. Personally I've always liked the full size beds best. Up until I moved out after law school i stayed in my nice full-sized bed. I don't think anyone necessarily needs a queen size bed, but a full is definately more comfortable. I think the best age is probably the summer right before they start middle school, as a sort of you're growing up now, and you get a more grown-up bed...but that's me. Hope this helped.
Depends on the size of the kid. A small child might not need to be upgraded to a full size bed. A larger child might. My 12 year old son has been in a full size bed for 2 years, but he's big for his age. I don't think he'll be getting a queen size bed unless he grows to 7 feet tall or so. My 6 year old daughter had a full size bed simply because that was what we had and didn't want to go out and buy another bed. She could very easily sleep in a twin bed, though.
