Question:

attic insulation?

If someone can help me with this question, I need to know what is the best type of insulation to use in my walkin attic, is cellulose or fiberglass insulation betterboth my contractors are saying that theirs is bestI don't know which one is betterPlease help

Answer:

There should be a mount on the trac barIt bolts from the trans all the way back to the rear axle. They sell poly-urethane mounts for that bar.My advice is to use then instead of the rubber styleThey will last longerThose mounts are notorious for wear and the symptoms you're describing.Hope this helps.
I have a 91 firebird, It sounds like we had similar problemsAt first I thought it was my transmission making the bang noise when I acceleratedAfter I paid the mechanic for servicing the trani I soon realized it was for nothingI ended up being the engine mountsIt took a handful of mechanics to figure it outGood luck!
In my humble opinion, I would only use fiberglassIt holds up far betterOf course each contractor is going to say theirs is betterThey want to sell their ownBut I do my own work and from personal experience plus others, fiberglass is the best overallI hope this helps.
Check that the starter motor is secured
