Question:

Babies and toddle beds?

My daughter is 2 months and 3 weeks old. since day one she has never slept in her bassinet always sleep in my bed with me. How old is to young to put your baby in a toddle bed?

Answer:

I would say she is probably too young to get a toddler bed. Have you tried her in a crib? My nephew has a crib that can be converted into a toddler bed, so it is more like a bed than a crib. Also, some babies like sleeping in their play pen/pack n play, have you tried that? If she won't sleep anywhere but with you, it sounds like she might want to be close to you, and not really care about the bed so much. Maybe try rocking her to sleep in your lep, and then laying her down.
I am sure some people out there has done it, but I would say 2 months is too small/ young for a toddler bed. My son is 16 months, and he is in one. He fell out the other day.......... even with railings......... and has a big bump on his head. I cannot imagine an infant. The bed that we got for him said it was made for kids between the ages of 12 months to 2 years. Good luck!
2 months is way too young. try getting one of those baby sleep positioner things and put her in the bassinet the side pillows will make her think she is surrounded by you. they even come with warmers to give of the felling of body heat and soft scents that will lure her to sleep.
