I got braces back last summer, and today on my very back bracket it completely came off. the wires hanging out a bit and pokes me! And I'm scared my other brackets will come off, or that the wire wil come out? I go to the denist tomorrow, but the orthadontist is the one who put on the braces, so the denist probably would't be able to do anything, should i tell them any ways?. should I save the bracket ? And is it important that I schedule an appointment with my orthadontist asap? Or can I wait till my next real visit?
Don't worry, they will fix it. Call the other guy though, to ask for his opinion.
Yes, save the bracket. Call your orthodontist and tell them you had a bracket break off that you need put back on, they will appreciate it if you bring the bracket in. As long as you don't pull on the wire it shouldn't slip or break off other brackets. Your dentist probably wont have the tools needed to get the bracket back on. It is important to get to the orthodontist sooner rather then later because your tooth needs that bracket on. Good Luck Orthotime
