Question:

Baking soda to freshen carpet?

I want to use baking soda to freshen my rugs before I vacuum. I won't use commercial odor eliminators (the strong scent gives me a headache). Has anyone used baking soda and experienced a change in color or any damage to your carpets?

Answer:

Some vacuums will clog up with the baking soda. Dysons in particular. About killed mine. Otherwise, yes it works to some extent.
Shake the baking soda on your carpet and let it sit for fifteen minutes then vacuum it up. I used it a few times and never had any damage to my carpet. You can use it on a small area of your carpet to test it before you use it on your entire carpet
Baking soda is good for removing odours and it has no smell It will not damage your carpet in any way Why not hire Rug Doctor This will deep clean and remove all odour from them
