Question:

Bench press question??

i'm 16, i have very strong forearms, and very very strong biceps, in those areas i am ahead of people my age, however when it comes to bench press for some reason i can not do nearly as much as most my age or as much as i should be able to do. what can i do to improve my benchpress max and what is wrong with me?!

Answer:

bench press is mainly the chest - trceps- front of your shoulder NOT bicep or forearms...thats why your having difficulties but its simple...do bench press along with other chest, tricep, and shoulder exercises and you will get your max rep up
You just have to start out small then add more and more. Thats what my brother did and he can bench 500lbs.
technique dude that helps ALOT! and practice. i know a lot of big guys that dont bench at all and when they do its funny to watch there terrible ahaha. answer my question mang
First, drop the barbell, and walk over to the dumbbell rack. Why, if you are properly bench pressing, your triceps and delts do most of the work. Dumbbell's allow for a natural range of motion to target your pecs. Second, become good friends with all types of push ups. Try push ups with blast straps as they cause your pecs to function in the way they are suppose to, drawing the arms across the midline of the body. More detailed information can be found below.
