Question:

Bendable piping/tubing??

I need a smooth tubing or piping that can be easily bent. i dont care really what its made of, plastic or whatever, just as long as it can be about 3-5 inches in diameter and is very bendy (also possibly easily to cut). All i need is the name of the pipe and maybe a website that carries it... thanx.

Answer:

As it was pointed out, copyright protection of the images almost certainly wouldn't apply. With the exception of estates, or other artificial entities existing through time that can identify their interest in the copyright, the copyright died with the photographer in all probability. Copyright protection exist for the life of the creator plus some number of years and that is only important if there is some form of inheritor. How would a judge rule? If litigated, the judge would rule according to how the law applied to the particulars of the case. That is the only thing they can do. Any speculation would mean postulating hypothetical facts and then having fun! Just as a person, I feel they should be able to copy the photos. As a photographer, I am very jealous of my copyrights and have turned down jobs where we couldn't come to an agreement on that. There are certain copyrights, such as the right to use the images for my own promotion, exhibition and otherwise help me in business. However, I don' t see a rational basis for preventing the copying of the photos no matter how I look at it - except for Walmart. Walmart doesn't want to get sued and, rationally, limits their exposure. The easy way to do that is have a blanket policy that may be ridiculus about proving you have the right to make copies, as it seems ridiculus here, but there is very little cost to them to either lose that customer, or not making the prints. The costs to handle even a very misguided lawsuit that will get tossed immediately make a cost/benefit analysis simple. In any other scenario, someone would have to make an informed and knowledgeable decision. A Walmart clerk? That's not rational. Vance
tricky stuff. do a search at yahoo or google. just that can help!
PVC drain pipe and fittings, like at Home Depot, sounds closest to what you want. Anything flexible is not smooth on the inside, check out dryer hose, for example.
Steel piping would be a good type of material for what you want. However, it is not going to be very easy to bend and anything that would fit your description is not going to have very rigid walls, which could be a problem. You might need to resort to a rigid wall pipe, such as PVC and use the various angle pieces made for this kind of pipe. The common angles range from a 1/8th bend all the way to a full 90 degrees.
Annealed steel tubing or pipe can be bent like spaghetti. It's used in hydraulic piping applications.
