My dogs prefer MY bed, but that's not an option for them. That doesn't stop them from asking though :) LOL My dogs are chewers so nice fluffy beds don't last long. I give them blankets towels now. If it has my scent on it, they love it even more. I always catch my border collie sleeping on my clothes if I leave them on the floor beside my bed. I guess it's like a security blanket for her. My dogs have always napped on my clothes, I've started just leaving them on the floor because I knew it comforted them.

best dog bed is an old blanket or duvet that you as its owner have used that way the dog if left in the house any length of time will not feel that you are not coming back. may sound corny but try it
