Question:

Best friend crisis. Any solution?

Just for the record,I AM a guy.My best friend,Matthew and I have been buds for a while now,but my Mom recently got a job offer in Atlanta. (We live in Douglas,GA.) We're worried we won't be able to hang out or play video games with each other anymore. We also worry one of us will get a phone number change,so we can't call each other. He has no idea what e-mail is,even though I constantly point it out to him,so that's out of the question. I don't think we have any last resorts. I'd love a solution to help us out.P.S.:We're not gay. We both have girlfriends.

Answer:

If you have a Home Depot nearby, get this product called Krud Kutter, it does a good job, esp. in corners and also on sliding glass door frames. It is originally meant to remove paint splatters, but it works on lots of things. I would just have him pay for a one time cleaning service to clean up the place and then you can teach HIM how to clean after that.
Most home smoke detectors that run on batteries have a low battery detection built into them. They beep every 5-10 minutes with a short chirp to let you know there is a problem and that you need to change the battery or fix the issue it is complaining about. If this is a smoke detector that needs just a battery, replace the battery and wait and see if it still chirps at you. If this is both AC and battery powered, it could be that the built-in battery that the AC power charges was not fully charged, and the chirping every five minutes should go away in an hour or two. Or it could mean that the AC power is not hooked up right. Finally, if the AC power is working and there is no other battery power for that unit, it may have a problem with it. Check the sheet of paper or manual that came with it to see what the chirp means.
