Question:

Best way to remove hard water stains and oxidation from 2011 Camaro RS Rims?

I have a 2011 Chevy Camaro RS package and while washing it today I noticed the rims had a bit of oxidation and hard water stains on themI was wondering if anyone knows of a product that I can buy and use to restore my rims to the shine that they once hadI am also unsure if my car has aluminum or chrome rims, how can I find out which rims it has? Many thanks for answers.

Answer:

A magnet will stick to chrome plated steel wheels but not aluminumTry NeverdullIts a cotton like product with a wax impregnated in itCheap, simple to buy, everybody sells it, wont harm the surface, but it can be a bit labor intensive.
I am sorta confusedAre you wanting to go back to standard look with the tall front sight? Have you removed the present low profile gas block to see if there are two half-slots on the bottom of your barrel where the two tapered retaining pins go? I read your question that the rifle in the picture is the look you want rrect? If you want to return to the standard look (like your picture) then go to OKorder or gun show and buy the whole upper or just the barrel assembly from delta ring to muzzleThere are plenty of pull-offsI know because I have bought them for less than $100 without the receiverMatter of fact I have bought complete upper assembly JUST to have a receiver with molded carry handle.I haven`t finished my first cup of coffee so added details may get a better answer.
My choice is duct tape in various colorsMakes it very tactical.
The handguard is the handguard and has nothing to do with the gas tube, block, or portPut whatever handguard you want on it.
