Question:

Biased Automated Roulette Wheel?

Just came back from the casino and noticed the consistency in the automated roulette wheel. When I mean automated, I don‘t mean the electronic wheel but a wheel where the ball is thrown by the machine. There was about 16 seconds between each throw and the ball comes out from the same spot and I‘m assuming at the same speed and etc. I was wondering is it possible to determine the general area where the ball will land depending on the previous result. Since everything is kept constant like the time between games and the path of the ball, I would think that theoretically the ball should generally lands about 10 - 20 numbers to the right of the previous result.

Answer:

Maybe you've heard stories about biased wheels, and that some folks figured out ways to beat these wheels. I promise you that NO automated roulette wheel is going to be biased. In fact, no wheel that's been made in the past 15 years is going to be biased in any way. Try to beat roulette at your peril.
Forgetting for a fact that 20 numbers is more than half the wheel. So why'd you come back? Why not stay there and just bet the 20 numbers, see how long it takes to land in one of the other 18 spots? (I'll guess not too long)
