Question:

Black Aluminum MacBook in 2008?

OK, I really like Apple's MacBook in Black. And only in Black. I pick black because I think that you can see less scratches and smudges on it and it looks more elegant. Anyway, your input on a Aluminum MacBook in Black in 08. Again, I'm not talking about MacBook Air becasue I dont wan't that piece of Shittaki. So, again your thoughts of an upcoming Aluminum MacBook. It would also be great if MacBook Owners would answer this and give your thoughts if you would have chosen a Aluminum MacBook and the one you have right now. ThanksPS: No Foul Tongues Please

Answer:

MacBooks are not aluminum, the MacBook Pros are. Check the rumor websites like Mac Rumours for speculation on what Apple might offer in the future.
I have a macbook pro, its aluminum, silver, and freakin awesome. The Black Macbook is made of Polycarbonate, more commonly known as Lexan, the material used in Nalgene bottles and some of their lab equipment. It is very durable, and highly scratch resistant. I doubt they would make a black aluminum macbook. I suggest buy the macbook now. If you are always waiting for the next piece of technology to come along, you will be waiting forever.
Well, since they don't have the black aluminum macbook yet, it would be hard to form an opinion on it. Do you have information that I should know about?? Anyhow, I have the black macbook, the current model. It is kinda hard to keep clean actually. It picks up fingerprints like crazy! My friend has the white one and doesn't have this problem at all, but obviously mine is way sexier. I use it frequently though and I absolutely love it! Who cares if I have to wipe it down constantly, I'll do anything to keep my baby happy. If you have an apple store near you, definately go in and check it out though, so you see what I mean about the fingerprints. Now I'm excited, I really hope they do come out with an aluminum macbook, I'd be all over that!
