Question:

Boys room: Med Blue carpet, lime green curtains: what color walls?

They really need a paint job but I hate to just repaint it beige- what color do you think would look good?

Answer:

Idk, It think you got a strange since of taste. But if you got blue carpet, and green curtains. Maybe so with something in between that for the walls. Like maybe the color teal?
Hi i think the lime green carpet sounds fun and unique but there aren't really allot of colors to go with it..hm maybe u could go with a nice light brown or tan or even something more bold like a purple would contrast very nicely with it, i would also suggest maybe just painting the walls white and ur comforter could be the thing that pulls it all together, get one with lime green, white, maybe orange or blue or a lighter green, and believe it or not even black Accessories would really make the room pop, perhaps painting the furniture black to contrast with the white and green! there's allot you can do with that and i hope i've helped! check out the link i sent u there's a picture and it uses lime green, black and white to create something amazing, i hope it shows how all the colors come together so nicely.
Sounds like you are creating a fun atmosphere with your room. First take a look at your furniture and the natural lighting your room receives. You don't want your furniture to look out of place and you don't want to go too dark if there isn't that much light. If you want to play it safe, you can go white, but I think you might like a light blue (maybe a pastel) or sorts. Visit your paint shop and look at variations of green and blue. More than likely you will find something in the middle that tie the room together nicely. It is also really fashionable now a days to paint an accent wall a different color. Perhaps you could go with a light pastel like blue color and then accent a light green wall. Your local paint or hardware store will carry color charts. Take a picture of your room and take it with you when paint shopping. If you physically look at the paint be sure to find out what it looks like when it dries. This should help you get off to a great start with your room. Good Luck!
I would stick with the blue and green color palette- (I love blue with lime green!) because if you add another color on the walls it will start to look circus-y. I would go to wherever you buy paint and get a few swatches of different shades of blue and green and come home and find one that goes well with the shades you already have. Maybe a blue either a few shades lighter or a few shades darker than the floors. Or like a shade of olive or hunter would go well with the lime curtains. I would lean towards doing blue walls over green so that the blue carpeting looks deliberate rather than like you tried to switch the room over to green and are pretending the carpet doesn't exist. However, if you were to choose a shade of green instead, maybe do blue bedding or pull the blue up with some accessories to tie it all together.
