Question:

BREAK AN ADT ALARM SYSTEM?

Hi i like to sneak out (dont judge me please) and ive never had a problem except recently my parents set up an ADT alarm system on our house with a keypad covienently in their room and in the main hallway so every time you open a door or a window the machine chimes and goes *DOOR ONE OPEN* *BASEMENT WINDOW OPEN* etc etc and thats a huge problem for me when i sneak out. is there any way you can break the window alarm and still arm the alarm? i used a magnet on my last system but this one is a little more legit and im having some problems. THANKS:D

Answer:

Use a long rubber band, a thumb tack and a paint roller. Knot the rubber band to the handle of the paint roller and tack the other side of the band to the roller part. Wind up the roller until the band is tight, then put it on some carpet and it should roll forward. Same thing can be done with two paper plates and a ruler, a couple of tacks and a rubber band.
sorry, don't know the code, but even without looking, I'm sure pvc isn't acceptable for propane, you don't have a contractor, you have a homeless guy who's impersonating a contractor. Seriously, pvc is never ok for a flammable gas, not any chance that's ok for any part of the line, nowhere. not even a little piece. .
If you find something, let us know. Copper pipes, especially with water running through them under pressure, does not lend to fixing with adhesive. Better to remove and replace. There are methods that employ O-rings and clamping equipment to make joints with copper, but if you are asking for cheap, a torch and solder can't be beat.
