For the traction there is a button on the gear shifters tip. You can't miss it and probably accidently hit it when putting your car in drive. The ac panel in our cadillacs has the ability to set different temperatures for the passengers. Uncheck the button and it will make the entire car the same temp. My 2000 does not use synthetic oil so I would check into that if I were you. Hope I helped.
There is a VAGUE connection between your THROTTLE BODY and your traction control system. Your CADDY requires ONLY MOBIL ONE synthetic engine oil in it. ALL other oils will RUIN your engine sensors, and eventaully your converter and the WHOLE engine!! THE FIRST STEP is to take $20 or so to the local quicky lube, and have them power wash your THROTTLE BODY and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE if there is one. Many CADDY engines have ONLY electronic throttle bodies. They are VERY expensive and will break down if WRONG oil is used in there. NO VALVOLINE EVER!!! EVER !!! EVER!!!! Many times, just cleaning the THROTTLE BODY will also stop the traction light, as they act upon each other as SYSTEMS. Consider a FREE auto zone OBDII test, and also consider just going to a GM dealership if you can find one. E-mail me BACK with your results!!! MOST newer caddies have individual heater controls, for LEFT sie and RIGHT side. CHECK IT OUT!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
