Question:

Can a dog door be installed in a metal exterior door?

Ive read the installation instructions and they seem easy enough to install if the door was wood but I just dont know about this metal door. Would a jigsaw cut through a metal door?

Answer:

It shouldn't be a problem at all. As long as it is not too thick of a door anyways.
Yes you can install it-- use a metal cutting blade in your jigsaw
You guess, have executed it many cases. in basic terms use the template that contains the dogs door and locate the perfect placement on the door, Drill a hollow in a single nook and use a jigsaw with a steel slicing blade to cut back out on your dogs door. in case you will hit upon a door appropriate to the comparable length as a results of fact the panels it seals better.
Usually, a metal door is two thin pieces of metal with a foam core. You'll need to get special saw blades for going thru metal, and make sure that your jigsaw is rated to cut metal as well (high speed). Make sure to get some drill bit (metal rated) to drill the pilot holes.
