Question:

can a shaft driven motorcycle be towed by placing the front tire up into a harness and back wheel touching grd

seen a harness that allows front tire to be harnessed and the rear tire to roll on the ground

Answer:

the manufacturers don't recommend coasting with the engine off because you are still turning the tranny so towing probably wouldn't be good either you could take a chain off as suggested but there is no way to remove the shaft easily
dont think so if the bike is in neutral and the rear wheel is turning there is still bound to be wear and/or damage done to the transmission. Even with a chain driven motorcycle you had to take the chain off.
Sure it can. The drive shaft and final drive gears will be turning just as if you were riding the bike, so there's no adverse strain on those parts. Since the bike will be in neutral, the clutch and engine will not be touched. Every moving gear will be lubricated.
