Smoke detectors do not reliably detect cigarette smoke. They are simply not that sensitive to low levels of smoke. Smokers, where ever they live, whether it be an apartment, condo, or house their smoke alarm sensors in their homes do not detect them smoking.

While he was trying to restrain the one girl, the other one would jump on his back, try to grab a hold of him, hit, shove, and push him. What if one of them had tried to grab for his gun? If anything, he showed too much restraint. As a police officer, the minute you have two people physically assault you, grab a hold of you, and try to hurt you, then you are authorized to use whatever force is necessary to halt the attack.
