Question:

Can I climb the marmolada mountain despite lacking glacier experience?

I would like to climb the marmolada (highest mountain in the dolomites) one day, using the via ferrata route. I‘m confident I‘ll make the summit without major problems, but the descent route leads over the marmolada glacier. I have no experience in walking on glaciers. On the other hand, I am quite sure-footed in other terrain, and of course, I will not go alone, nor without proper equipment.Would you recommend taking a course or hiring a mountain guide, or is the marmolada glacier easy enough?

Answer:

couldn't tell you unless i saw it sorry
If unsure you could always ask for all your old parts back.
Depending on the time of year and how much snow there is is can be very straight forward. In the middle of summer it is normally a pretty busy route with lots of guides around but like any big mountains weather can close in quickly and if things go bad they tend to go bad quickly. My advise is go with someone who knows a little about the route and or equipment requited and you should be OK. The is a english company called Colletts based in Arabba which isn't to far away that should be able to help point you in the right direction. Good luck and enjoy, Its a great trip.
