Question:

Can I connect a water softener drain line to a vent pipe in the attic?

The vent pipe has a washing machine and utility sink connected to it down below. Can I simply connect the drain line to the vent pipe in the attic or will it affect the things connected below?

Answer:

nothe only thing you can do is , every time you use the kitchen, turn the vent on , if you dont have a vent like me , your out of luck, i took my alarms out. its because of the appliances if you didnt get that yet, or , you can just leave the batteries out of the one nearest the kitchen
electricity cannot conduct back to you through CO2. You can use any fire extinguisher that is a class C
Its just not worth the risk. Go buy another one and replace the one that is playing up. There are a couple of different kinds of smoke detectors on the market, the normal ones and another kind called photoelectric (Chubb recommend the Quell brand). The photo electric kind are less likely to false alarm are better at detecting slow burning fires and have no radioactive material inside them, anyway i'm sure the guy at the hardware store can explain the difference better than I, but both kinds are so cheap these days its best to replace them when they continually false alarm. like you said your kids are ignoring the alarm now and that really isn't good. Work out a fire exit plan with your kids so they will know what to do in the event of a fire and that way they will also take it more seriously. You only get one chance.
