Question:

Can I cook tilapia wrapped in aluminum foil and get similar results as if I used parchment paper?

The parchment paper method is the common way to cook quot;fish in a bagquot; but I couldn't locate parchment in the storeI'm thinking if I form a quot;boatquot;, place the fish, peppers, onions and spices inside and then wrap it up loosely, it will still conduct the necessary heat to steam-cook inside the foilAm I on the right track? Thanks to everyone.

Answer:

Yes you areHowever, a plain brown paper bag from the market will do as well, just wet the outside of the bag a bit to help promote the steam and remember tilapia cooks pretty quickly.
