A surge protecter cannot possibly protect against the several hundred million Volts of a lightning strike either direct or induced. You can somewhat protect your house and its contents against lightning strikes with a system of lightning rods, deeply embed ground rods and input protectors etc. Expect to pay several thousands of dollars for it.
