Question:

Can I sprinkle lime in my flower beds to keep the insects off that are eating them?

I was always told to use lime in a vegetable garden to keep the insects off of them. I have recently discovered these insects eating the leaves in my flower bed and was wondering if it would be alright to use lime in there or will I kill my flowers. I don't know what these insects are; I've never seen them before and can't find them on the internet. Thanks in advance for your input.

Answer:

Like a lime sulfur dip? It is possible that a vet clinic can sell lime sulfur concentrate to you, but I'm not sure if they would require a physical exam, Call around and ask.
