can i take prenatal vitamins with iron?

im 13 weeks pregnant and have been feeling very run down and weak and it happens to suddenly i spoke to my doctor gave me 200MG FERROUS SULPHATE iron tablets but they have a risk of harming the baby. is there any other pre natal vitamins with iron i can take? and where can i find them?

Answer:

The ferrous sulphate shouldn't have any risks to the baby your carrying - your iron level needs to be up so that the baby's red blood cells develop properly Your prenatal vitamins that have iron well that IS FERROUS SULPHATE -
Take your prenatal vitamins (all prenatal vitamins have iron in them) and the iron supplement separately with some vitamin C source - like orange juice or fruit. If you take them at the same time your body can only absorb half the iron that you are taking since both the prenatal vitamin and the iron supplement is the maximum dose you can absorb at one time. No there is no risk of harming the baby, jeez.
